| Ganesha, an aspect of Buddha in the Hindu philosophy, was the four armed, elephant headed god of good fortune, wisdom & literature. His mother, Parvati, created him out of dust and the mist of her body. Sitting astride a rat, he was the leader of Shiva`s armed forces. His two wives, Buddhi and Siddi, represented intellect & achievement, respectively. He is also known as Shoden in Japan. This statue is hand Painted, & made of cold cast resin.It comes to 5 3/4" high. |
